Medicare / DVA Patients

Are you eligible for allied health Medicare rebates?

Medicare Patients

The team at Myphysio are passionate about helping people to overcome their injuries or medical conditions which is why we are proud to accept and process Medicare Rebatable Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Podiatry Consultations.

If your GP has diagnosed you with a Chronic Medical Condition (a problem or condition that you have had for longer than six months), you may be qualified for up to 5 sessions per calendar year.

This can be used for a single Allied Health service or across multiple Allied Health services ( i.e. 5 x Physiotherapy sessions or 3 x Physiotherapy and 2 x Podiatry sessions).

Please consult your GP for eligibility.

How much do I need to pay?

At Myphysio, we are dedicated to providing accessible, affordable and effective healthcare services to the local community.

We understand that sometimes finances are hard and healthcare can be expensive, and therefore, some of our practitioners still offer bulk-billing services to our patients who have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as EPC) issued by the referring doctor.

You will need to bring your Medicare card and the doctor’s referral at the time of your initial consultation.

Below are our bulk bill practitioners. As a general guideline, the medicare subsidy covers 20 minutes of the treatment session.

  • Physiotherapists – Alice Kim (Epping & Macquarie Park), Adrian Wong (Epping, Macquarie Park & West Ryde), Sean Roh (Epping & Baulkham Hills)
  • Chiropractor – Chanathon Charas Virojn (Baulkham Hills)
  • Podiatrists – Kelly Xiao, Zohreh (Zara) Nikbin (Baulkham Hills), Jo Ha Seung (Baulkham Hills, Top Ryde, and West Ryde)

Unfortunately, not all our practitioners can offer the bulk billing service. Overall, depending on your appointment type, you’ll be around $30-50 out of pocket.

*Please note: If your Medicare claim is rejected by Medicare (Code 160), you will be liable for all services costs charged under our Standard Consultation Rates.

DVA Patients

In accordance with the Department of Veteran Affairs White and Gold card programs, you can receive your physiotherapy covered under your doctor’s referral without any out-of-pocket expenses. Simply mention your DVA white or gold card details at the time of booking and bring a copy of your doctor’s referral with you to your initial consultation.

*Please book your DVA appointments with our Bulk-billing practitioners listed above.
