Your health is our top priority.
Important notice for patients claiming Medicare Rebate:
Private Billing (also called Mixed-billing) Medicare Appointments:
As of 01/07/2024, like most GP clinics, you will need to pay for the full fee at the end of your appointment, then we can help you claim your Medicare rebate on the day and on-the-spot, saving you time.
Our clinic payment system is linked with TYRO and Medicare online claiming facilities which allow our clinic to directly lodge your claim to Medicare for eligible rebates (refunds).
Your rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account by Medicare within 48 hours (if your Medicare card is linked with a bank account).
Please note the following:
- If you have not registered your bank account with Medicare please do so online at: http://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/medicare
- If you have not received your Medicare rebate into your registered bank account within 48 hours please call Medicare on 132 011.
- For any technical issues, if the on-spot claiming fails, you can claim your Medicare rebate online or from the Medicare offices with a copy of our invoice. Our friendly staff will be able to organise this for you!
Bulk Billing Medicare Appointments are still available:
We are aware that there may be times in life when health and expenses become a challenge. It’s important that patients are still able to access quality health care at those times, so a few of our Practitioners are still offering Medicare bulk billing appointments for their patients.
Please refer to our team profile pages to find out who our current Bulk-billing practitioners are.
Medicare Patients: What is Medicare EPC?
The Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC) now called Chronic Disease Management (CDM), is a government program designed to provide patients with chronic or complex medical conditions access to healthcare services that can help them manage their condition with a team-based approach.
The team at Myphysio are passionate about helping people to overcome their injuries or medical conditions which is why we are proud to accept and process Medicare Rebatable Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Podiatry Consultations.
Patients with complex or chronic medical conditions (conditions that you have had for longer than six months) who require ongoing care from multiple healthcare providers are eligible for the Medicare EPC program
Eligibility will be determined by your general practitioner (GP). If eligible, your GP will create a care plan tailored to your specific health needs. You will then be provided with an EPC/CDM referral form (as shown in the image below) which you need to email to info@my-physio.com.au before your appointment day.
Please consult your GP for eligibility.
If your GP has diagnosed you with a complex or chronic medical condition, you may be qualified for up to 5 sessions per calendar year.
This can be used for a single Allied Health service or across multiple Allied Health services ( i.e. 5 x Physiotherapy sessions or 3 x Physiotherapy and 2 x Podiatry sessions).
Please ensure that the EPC/CDM referral form includes our clinic name or the name of one of our practitioners. Otherwise, you may request your GP to make the necessary changes on the referral.
Once you have your EPC/CDM Referral form, you can book online or call us to set up your appointment. Inform us that you have an EPC/CDM referral and preferred date of the appointment.
*Please take note that not all of our practitioners are bulk-billing, please refer to Our Team for our list of Bulk billing and Non-bulk billing practitioners.
- Email your Medicare EPC referral to info@my-physio.com.au prior to attending your appointment.
- Bring your Medicare card and the EPC referral (if you have not sent your referral to our clinic) at the time of your appointment.
At Myphysio, we are dedicated to providing accessible, affordable and effective healthcare services to the local community.
We understand that sometimes finances are hard and healthcare can be expensive, and therefore, some of our practitioners still offer bulk-billing services to our patients who have a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as EPC) issued by the referring doctor.
Below are our bulk bill practitioners. As a general guideline, the medicare subsidy covers 20 minutes of the treatment session.
- Physiotherapists:
Will Wang (Baulkham Hills & Epping),
Jeremy Kwan (West Ryde & Top Ryde),
Adrian Wong (Epping, Chatswood, Macquarie Park & West Ryde),
Sean Roh (Epping & Baulkham Hills),
Alta Kwok (Macquarie Park) - Chiropractors:
Chanathon Charas Virojna (Baulkham Hills) - Podiatrists:
Jo Ha Seung (Baulkham Hills)
Unfortunately, not all our practitioners can offer the bulk billing service. Private Billing (also called Mixed-billing) Medicare patients will be requested to settle the FULL fee directly with our clinic at the end of your session. Overall, depending on your appointment type, you will be paying $40-$50 out of pocket.
Rest assured, we will be assisting you with the Medicare rebate process on the day. Medicare will deposit the rebate into your nominated bank account within 48 hours (if your Medicare card is linked with a bank account).
